Shutterfly's Custom Cards!

I’ve just started researching personalized greeting cards over at shutterfly.  I have to admit, I’ve always wanted to do a Christmas card, with a big mailing list and what not, and I think these guys might finally make it happen.

They seem to have a lot of different options to choose from and having used them in the past for other endeavors, I know their interface is nothing to be wary of.  I am also interested in perhaps skipping my hand written invites, texts, and general shouting in favor of something more eloquent.

I also notice on their site, they have the option to make custom cards for other holidays, such as mother’s day.  I’m pretty sure I haven’t sent a personalized card to my dear old mother since I was using glue and safety scissors, J 
So give them a try, hopefully you'll have more presents under the tree if you send them out early!

Ork Work in Progress, Deadpool's Gang

An idea I had a long time ago was to have Deadpool form a gang...mostly of other zeros and then to get into adventures.

This is figure number one, from back in '08, finally getting some love.

He needs some greenstuff on his lower arms to match up, a proper ork helmet and an ax, he should be fine after those fixes and soem lovely paint.

Working with foamcore

My recent 'challenge' with my pal segnett has really inspired me to try new materials and methods.  It seems everyone on the net has had great success with foam core, in the past I have not.  I've always ended up with a lopsided mess after spending 3-4 bucks a sheet on the stuff.  Well, after the recent election, there was a great deal of this stuff floating around that no one seemed to want....so I took a load of it.




So far, just practicing making straight lines and what not...but my hope is for some themed terrain for my desert orks...only time will tell.
